 BAS/DDC Senior Controls Technician

 CAREER opportunity in the “high-tech” field of Building Automation System (BAS)/Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Configure and program unitary controllers.
  • Create network area controller databases including control logic, alarm handling, historical trend logs, etc.
  • Create system graphics (Webpages).
  • Integrate third-party devices using open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, etc.
  • Configure communication network(s).
  • Commission control applications, field test and calibrate physical devices, and perform system(s) start-up.
  • Manage/supervise installation teams and/or subcontractors.
  • Owner training.
  • Warranty service.

Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to; participate in on-site construction meetings, daily interaction with building operators, contractors, consultants, etc., and assist with system engineering.

The following are requirements of the position; 7-10 years industry experience, a strong work ethic/can-do attitude, leadership skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills.

Hourly wage: Commensurate with experience.

BAS/DDC Controls Service Technician

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Service/repair BAS/DDC systems
  • Programming and commissioning
  • Database development including; control logic, alarm handling, historical trend logs, etc.
  • Graphics User Interface
  • Commission control applications, field test and calibrate physical devices.
  • Perform controller/system updates
  • Perform controller/system upgrades.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on BAS/DDC systems.
  • Integrate third-party devices using open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, etc.
  • Owner training.

Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to; participate in on-site construction meetings, daily interaction with building operators, contractors, consultants, etc., and assist with system engineering.

Electrician – Journeyman

 CAREER opportunity for an electrician in the “high-tech” field of Building Automation System (BAS)/Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Installation of building automation systems used to control HVAC, lighting and energy use in commercial, institutional and industrial facilities
  • Supervise installation teams and/or subcontractors
  • Provide direction, training and mentorship to apprentices
  • System commissioning

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to; participate in on-site construction meetings, daily interaction with building operators, contractors, consultants, participate in project “turn-over” and “close-out” meetings, etc.

The following are requirements of the position; strong desire to learn a technical field and establish a career, maturity, strong oral and written communication skills, valid and clear driver’s license.

Master electrician license preferred but not required.

Hourly wage: Commensurate with experience and licenses carried.

Hourly Wage: $17.15 – $31.26
